Mrs. Pike's Peek at Our Week
Week of January 30, 2012

Thank you, thank you, thank you to those who supported the Fund a Need at the auction!  Because of your generosity we were able to get a Mimio Board (similar to a SmartBoard, different brand) for our classroom!!  The students and I are very excited!  We were able to use it for the first time today (Friday, 27th)!!


Reading-"Gluskabe and the Snowbird" quiz on Friday
Spelling-Unit 17 test Friday
English-Grandparents' Letters
We will be writing letters to Grandparents to invite them to the Grandparents' Luncheon in May.  Please send BLANK envelopes with stamps and grandparents' addresses on a separate sheet of paper.  Students will learn how to address an envelope in class this week.  They will need as many envelopes as households for their grandparents.
Math-test Tuesday, study guide went home Friday
Social Studies-Chapter 9 test Wednesday, study guide went home Friday, map went home Monday
Students will have to label a map with Midwest states and match the capitals. 
Science-Chapter 7 test next week, study guide will go home end of this week
Religion-Chapter 16, The Fifth Commandment

This week:
Catholic Schools Week!!  Lots of festivities!!
Monday-Dress Down Day, Students may wear nice jeans, please no shorts or track pants
Tuesday and Thursday-P.E.
Wednesday-All School Assembly at 9:30
Friday-All School Mass
